Steven White has been a musician all his life. His career includes over 25 years of playing rock, pop, top-40 and jazz. He has collaborated with many of the bands he has played with to compose original music of many genres. Since attending music school he has played with big bands, accompanied solo performers and a range of small-stage acts.

Steven's primary influences are Jaco Pastorius, Charles Mingus and Jimmy Haslip but also artists from other disciplines such as Joni Mitchell, Miles Davis, Joan Miro and Frank Lloyd Wright.

His philosophy of playing is simple: know the song, listen to the players, carry the bottom line and always be willing to express yourself. Steven plays on Ergo electric upright and Brian Moore & Fender Jazz bass guitars and uses Eden amplification.
